JG BAR10 vs WELL L96 Warrior1

I swore I'd never post a thread but for literally weeks of research I can't decide which be the better bang for the buck... Out of your own persona experience, Which rifle would you choose for a better sniper platform and why?

I'm leaning towards which is more easily upgraded and which is more inexpensive to upgrade!

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, but was to scared to post this kind of question because of how much questions of "which on is better" had been posted recently. Really, just looking at both reviews that are out there (there are many good reviews of both guns) it came down to personal preference for me. I just ended up ordering a l96 and plan on getting some work done to it eventually, but I know that it is very playable stock. There are many upgrades available for both guns, but i just love the l96 model, and the fact that it is so usable right out of box. I can tell you more about my thoughts on the l96 when it arrives if you'd like though.

Good luck!, and don't worry, if you've done your research but can't decide, there not one problem with useing the forum!

Thats what was making me lean towards the L96 is the performance OTB. I just like the look of the simple sniper rifle althought I am not 100% of what the BAR10 is sposed to be a replica of.

So far its the L96 i'm leaning towards unless somebody has something good to say about the BAR10.

Don't just go for one or the other because someone says "THE BAR10 IS AMAZING!!" or "THE L96 IS AMAZING!", decide using your own opinion. I know there are some well l96 that just came in stock at buyairsoft. But really the bar10 is very TM compatable, and as said in reviews, a very solid base for upgrades. The well l96 is more powerful OTB, but it doesn't mean that it is more accurate. If you are willing to spend more, get the bar10, and get a gun tech to upgrade it, but if you are going for a more affordable gun, I'd suggest going for the well l96.

I would say +1 to the bar10.

Ive seen a few on the field, some stock and most modified...
They are an excellent platform to use/upgrade I was told
Even if kept stock they shoot great, upgrade it and its a MONSTER on the field

I still have not seen any WELL L96's on the field to this day. So I cant say anything about them.

a buddy of mine just got an L96, havent seen him use it enough to give u a good opinion though, but i will tell u that a side arm is a MUST, preferably a smalll aeg (jing gong pdw, look that up lol), why is it a must? because i swear he has stayed behind his advancing team and we have rushed his flank over 20 times...

Here's a full review including breakdown on Airsoft Retreat: http://www.airsoftretreat.com/review...uct=220&cat=62
and with simple teflon tape mods, shots are almost the same as the L96. JG Bar-10 is probably the best clone of the TM vsr-10 and they're supposely a copy of the Remington M700. One interesting note about L96s is the trigger box is made of plastic not metal like JG Bar-10.

I totally agree of the need for AEG sidearm like a MP7.

The UTG Warrior (L96) can reach some really competitive FPS with modded stock parts. My friend SniperWoosh has his at 530FPS with original parts. Not sure about the Well. The Bar-10 is pretty similar, but its easier to find aftermarket support for those since they are a 100% clone.

I have 2 AEGs already, I know about having the sidearm and I know about the teflon airbrake mod etc. Just wanted some opinions but after reading a 80 something page thread on the BAR-10 at airsoftretreat I've made my decision, Thanks guys.

I own one,
I did all the mod TRF said plus a few of my own.
I used RC fuel line for the "e-tape mod" lasts longer and gained 30FPS
I cut the cap of a gel pen up to use as a 1" spring spacer (might as well replace the spring)
Teflon sealed the cylinder and hopup unit.

510FPS

I don't like me Deep Fire 6.02 TBB.

I am in the process of upgrading a Well rifle.

It is the G22, basically a L96 with a custom stock and a gaz bolt.

I dropped a PDI Lv.3 Cylinder set, PSS2 120%-210% spring, PDI hop-chamber, Prometheus Hard type hop packing, Deep Fire SS 6.04 Tightbore (I hear that 6.02 was too tight and accuracy was worst from a know guntech).

Also ordered 3 Maruzen magazines, they all fit properly.

There is some filling to do, since the tolerance of the clone parts is lower. In particular the bolt handle, it was molded a tiny bit taper, so the cylinder would not fit loose enought to be usable. The air seal of the cylinder is the closest to perfection I ever was. Plugged the nozzle for a good 15 minutes, with the 120% spring pushing on the piston. It never moved.

So far, there is not a single upgrade that I can't install in the Well rifle.

Yes the stock triggerbox is plastic, but a Maruzen APS-2 Type 96 also comes with a plastic trigger box. I ran a 550 fps setup on the stock box no problem. I can't find lightweight triggers instock anywhere, so I am going to run the stock box till it dies.

BTW, the 210% spring need my both hands to crank... with the rifle pointed down, resting on my shoulder. It is one hell of a hard spring. I when through a plastic cola bottle, with the cap closed. Pierced both sides. To give an idea, the 550fps setup was not making it through a single side.

Well i'm going for the Warrior 1 now. The FPS is high Ive spoken with Amos and im just throwing in the Hop-up and Tightbore.. The FPS is good enough for me in stock form

Thanks alot Kos for letting me know the Maruzen trigger assembly is plastic as that was the only thing leaning me away from the Well. Thanks guys

Any other people can give me more insight on the L96? More info is much appreciated.
