1) Get verified, check the classifieds.... many many guns for sale.
New and used.... Always something interesting available. 2) Maybe it got deleted because your asking if a "deal is good or not" on a gun and your not verified yet... so its like your just bypassing our 18+ verification process....? |

well, it had nothing to do with ASC, which I stated in the first line of the thread. I was basically just asking for advice. It would be exactly like deleting a thread asking if TM's were worth the price... *shrug*

Could you be a little more specific on which rule you think the thread broke ms? The thread was titled "TM 552 Price Check" and the question I asked was related to mods vs asking price. Like I stated before; it would mean that anyone not age-verified could not ask if an AEG was worth the money.
That's why I'm frustrated. I was very careful in the wording of the thread - I didn't even say that I wanted to buy it, I only asked about value. Anyway - I'm assuming this thread is going to the same place, now. It's pretty discouraging, but I guess I understand how tricky the legalities are for ASC. I just wish the mod that deleted it would have left me a message explaining why. :/ |

I'd suggest a pm to the mods to ask why instead of starting a thread that is most likely going to be deleted. This would be a more efficient and direct course of action

lol funny thing i started a thread like this once and it got deleted but i still got a PM.so i thing that you are not worth the mods time and effort to type to a PM

Well, that's one of the problems I mentioned; I have no idea which mod it was so I was kinda hoping they might pop in and let me know what the deal was. I know any mod will support the decision of the others regardless, because they have to for the forum to work.
And I hope I'm not coming off the wrong way; I'm not trying to pick a fight, here; I honestly just want to know why the thread was deleted so I'm clear on the rules :/ |

You can blame the people who've come before you posting thread after thread of leading questions like "by what method could I skirt the the age verification process and find someone to sell me an AEG"? Anything that's coloured with a hint of that will vanish.
So you can do two things, one is take this in hand and read 50 or so threads for each post you make. While you're doing that and if you are of age you can find your local verifier and get signed up. Then you can see what the prices are like, meet some people and game a bit and figure out what you need. My first AEG was a G36 that I never gamed with since it just didn't click with me. If you're not 18 you're going to have to wait till then to veiw the sales sections. Option two is to start to rant and rave, this thread will head into the trash and you'll add your name to the legion that came before you of people who said they could read and comprehend but in reality couldn't and wouldn't and as a result all suffered spectacular meltdowns and were either vibed out or got the boot. well fair enough - I can't delete the thread on my own, but I guess I can just stop replying. Anyway - for the few people that actually offered useful replies, thanks.

I'd like to say that this is a forum that welcomes newcomers, welcomes new players and would encourage discussion about the sport to generate a spark of interest. I'd like. However, as you've probably already figured out, most people would rather expend the energy to tell you what you're doing wrong rather than point you in the right direction. Don't take it personally, it's been the same as long as I've been reading the forums. So, basically, you're going to have to do the research yourself. Find reviews on places like Arnie's Airsoft (see the News and Information link in the menu at the top of the forum). Wait until you're age verified (which can take a while, be patient) and check the going rates for similar AEGs you're interested in. Read up in the reviews section in the forums, chances are whatever questions you have are answered somewhere in there. Check to see if there's a "local" forum for your area, then try to meet some of your local players. They'd probably be more than happy to answer questions for you. |
