Gearbox question. Experienced users needed.
Hello all. I'm starting a project to build an M4. The only parts left that I need are the Gearbox, Body, Inner/Outer barrels, Hop-up, and a pistol grip. Anyways, this post is about a gearbox.
I'm not the most experienced person when it comes to gearbox's, but I'm not "en retard" when it comes to them either. I know which parts are which, how to shim, take a gearbox apart, clean it/grease it, and re-assemble it. I'm just wondering what type of motor would I be best off using with this gearbox? This I live close to an indoor CQB field, max FPS is 350, so I'm looking for ROF, not high FPS. I was thinking along the lines of a SystemA turbo motor. (and eventually highspeed gears.)

Systema Turbo would probably give you the best ROF.

Don't buy this motor unless you're willing to put more money into other parts of the gun.
This motor will destroy a stock gun. You'll need much higher quality gears (the speed of the systema motor will eat stock parts very quickly) If you want lots of speed, Get a Tokyo Marui EG1000, It's fast... but not dangerously fast. |

Systema Turbo would also eat your piston alive, if you leave that gearbox stock. Upgrade it to 350fps and you should be okay with a Turbo motor.
Stock EG1000 motor would be fine if you're keeping the gearbox bone stock. |

Its all based on what you want out of your gun
If your planning on leaveing it stock, an eg1000 is just fine. if your going to upgrade it, to 400, and new gears, maby a new piston, you should go with the turbo, and if you are going to go above 500 i recommend super torque gears and the magnum motor, also from systema |

I have a TM M733 setup with stock gears and a G&P M120 "High Speed" motor. Running 9.6 volts, it spins a King Arms M100 spring at a very nice ROF at 330 fps.
