Drilling a metal frame for scope mount.

Trying to install this to my hicapa.
I need to know how to drill holes properly to metal. I'm assuming I need to have a hole with threads cut into it? How can I do that?

I do have access to a bench mounted drill and dremel.
I hope I don't have to take my gun to a machine shop.. Please help if you are knowledgeable in this stuff..
Thanks.

Need to find out what drill size to use, then buy (or get it done by someone else) the correct screw thread tap to get the holes threaded. No cheap way to go about it, unless you go with self tapping screws (like are found on stock TM mechboxes.)

It comes with screws, so figure out what type of screw it is and buy the same type of hand tap. Consult a chart online to find out what drill you need for that tap.

I've got a tap set and drill press if you need a hand.

Can't guarantee that we'd get it right...

If you have the right tap and drill press I can do it quite easily...

^^ Thanks for all the offer to help guys. I have a drill press so all I need is a tap bit.
Going to try crappytire tomorrow but does anyone know a good place to get them local where there would be a good selection with people who know their stuff?

m102404, I might have to rely on you if I can't find the bits.

The first time anyways.

When you buy your tap(s), it's best to take the screw(s) in with you and get them to sort out the size/thread required. Is why you should avoid places like Home Depot/Rona/CT and go to a specialty shop. Chances are high that your screws are metric machine screws, and you'll make a mess of your slide if you get the wrong taps because you talked to someone who works part time at the place after highschool says "This should work" without knowing 100% that it will.
