Removal of a G36 stock?
After searching "G36 Stock removal" "Removing G36 stock" and "Take off G36 stock" I turned up nothing useful, so up goes a new thread...first the issue, then an admission of guilt.
1) I recently bought a G36K stock, because I found the one on my C to be too short. I want to attach it, but since it didn't come with the plate that has the other part of the hinge attached, I have to remove the pin. A punch and hammer aren't having much effect, and I don't want to force it...I DID, however, find what looks to be a small screw or allen key screw (what IS the term for a screw that you use allen keys on, anyway?) holding the pin in place...I take it I have to remove this? Anyone know what diameter of allen key I should be looking for? because all mine either don't fit or are too small. That being said, I THINK it's an allen key, but because it's tiny I can't really tell. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! 2) Yes, I know I probably should have looked into how to install the damn thing before I bought it, but it was late, I wanted one, and it looked like a good deal. Damn classifieds emptying my wallet one buy at a time... Thanks for looking! Any help in this matter would be awesome. *edit* :Headsmack: Removing pin from bottom, not from top does the trick. Seems to be how the pin works. Sorry for wasting your time to anyone who read this.
