Battery wont charge

recentl bought an Intellect 8.4 3600 mah (NIMH) large battery for my AK,

the intelligent charger does not recognize it (red light wont turn on to show its charging).

I read othe posts but no luck in rying vaious methods.

i have two crap chargers, one is a 8.4 output from the tf16 and the other is the 9.6v outpur from the Kraken, should i use the 9.6v output to "jumpstart this battery"?

i tried another univrsal wall charger with a red blinking light but it doesnt do anything....

what to do?

Sounds like there may be bad wiring in the battery pack somewhere. That would be my first guess, at least.

I had the exact same problem with an intellect battery, I put it on my crap wall charger from an Echo1 Mp5k for an hour and then the intelligent charger could read it just fine.

Make sure the prongs are properly positioned and are not loose or jammed down there.

does your charger have the ability to "recondition" batteries? if so attach your battery and try setting the charger on its discharge cycle. the battery may have been sitting in a discharged state for so long that one of the cells may have depolarized, using the chargers recondition cycle may help. good luck.

no luck, i tried a fast charger, and another 8.4 v charger, it seems liek the current isnt going into the battery for some reason, like it is resisting charging, although if u hokk it up to an aeg the motor make a click (its to weak to pull it but that shows that the pack works) it just wont charge!?

any more suggestions?

pretty annoyed that id get a crap product from airsoftparts.

It's not Airsoftpart's fault, it's Intellect's fault. What do you want from Jugglez, to open every single package and to test every single pack? Be reasonable.

Have you tried using the battery for a little bit? I had a 3600mah Intellect pack that refused to charge until we plugged it into a gun and tried to run the gun. Of course, being uncharged, it couldn't do much, but the charger recognized it from there on.

do you know anybody near you with a charger that you can try? I just bought a new battery pack from the local hobby shop, it was a NiMh 3000 mAh Large type battery and it works great, on the box it does NOT recommend trickle charging. so anything less than 500mAh could be considered trickle charging for large batteries, there was also s note in the box stating if you are using "small" type batteries do not charge over 1 amp charge rates and finally with a NiMh battery do not fully discharge them like Nicad's, you WILL ruin it. I think you need to make a trip to the local hobby shop that sells r/c cars n planes and invest in a good charger. For about $30 you can find a decent ac/dc charger that will work in your house and in a car(really handy if halfway through a milsim and your pack goes dead). The more expensive chargers are usually digital peak chargers and charge packs quite quickly, most of the new charges also auto detect if you are trying to charg NiCad or NiNh batteries. Here's the guide on the back of my battery pack.

So how did he fix it? I've got an Intellect that's never performed as well as it should.

It was bought from a place that doesn't offer any type of after sales support other than whining about how tough life is.
