Maybe your spring for the mag release is not strong enough, or loose.
Or probably try tightening is it's loose or loosening the screw just a little bit if it's too tight. |

worn mag catch? my old glock was worn just enough to fall out when fired but not enough to fall out on its own.

Make sure the mag is seating properly and fully locked; if the fit is too snug (overtight catch) it might be catching only a slightly and holding with friction, but then the blowback is violent enough to shack it loose. I had that happen with a 93R.

If you want to take a peek at it to get a sense for what's going on you can remove the mag catch to look for wear.
Obviously take the mag out first...but you don't need to take the slide off. Take a small slotted screwdriver. On the right side of the mag catch you should find a small slot screw in the center of the mag catch. Press it straight in until it stops and then turn about a 1/4 turn (I think it's CCW...I can't remember 100% but it only goes one way). It'll lock in it's collapsed position. You can then push it out of the frame. Look for the corresponding bump that engages the notch on the mag and see if it's not rounded off. If it is...there's not a whole lot that can be done except to replace the mag release. Best of luck getting it fixed up. Tys |

I have that problem with my KJW M9. It's my mag catch that's worn.
