The semi function?

How does the semi auto function work on the agm m14.I have been studying
it and still don't see how it fires one shot, the gear moves the arm up and down, but the voltage still goes through.is there a part missing?.

So your semi setting is firing in automatic? How many rounds has the gun seen on semi?

Well,must have been a lot.But if I understanding how it works,I might
see why it only fires auto.I don't see anything to stop it,as the gear
moves the piston back, the cam on the gear moves the arm by the
electrical part,but does nothing.

Is the cut-off lever moving the cutt-off switch all the way? A damaged cut-off lever would it move only part way, which might explain why it doesn't work.

IIRC, pulling the trigger pushes the contact in the picture into place, the cut-off lever pushes the contact out of place. It's been a while.

The plastic part won't wear out because it's not under much strain. The cut-off lever on the other hand is metal-on-metal contact with a fast-moving sector gear.

Can I drop in a TM cut off part or do I have replace all parts for it to work?.

Dropping in a TM or aftermarket lever should fix it.
