Missing Shims in a gearbox
If your gearbox is missing 1 shim, is it still ok to shoot a couple of clips through it or no? My friend who helped me fix my gearbox told me it was ok, but I'm just making sure before I take it out for a spin. My gearbox is a version 3, so does it matter?
Just making sure... |

It's not how many shims you're missing, it's whether your gears are properly shimmed. Improperly shimmed gears, such as when you're missing some, can cause gear damage.

So in other words I shouldn't be using my gun until I get it properly shimmed

That's the best idea.

Unless it's shimmed properly already, in which case go right ahead.
