Tokyo Marui M14 Ver.7 Upgrades; Prometheus vs. Guarder

So this is the situation:

Right now I have a TM M14.

Internals are from a Guarder SP120 FTK, but I've started using Prometheus upgrade parts in other AEGs I own.

My question is, as I have searched on the internet and found no real strong argument, which upgrade parts for the TM M14 are better between the two brands?

I have never juxtaposed both brands so what I am asking for is others' experience and opinions on which yields more positive results? I am planning to ditch the Guarder power spring for a Prometheus one as i find Guarder springs quite harsh and detrimental compared to a Prometheus one of the same approximate grade.

In addition, if there is another brand that I may have overlooked, please inform me.

Thanks for the help.

-ScoTT.

Well, I'm not too sure about the other two brands, but if you want some input for other brands, I swear by Modfiy parts... high quality stuff.

Modify are amazing for the price but they are still not as good as Guarder or Prometheus. Guarder is a Hong Kong brand with slightly lower quality control but still damn high, have never had a problem and have never heard of a problem with Guarder parts. Prometheus tend to be my favorite, even over SystemA, they are Japanese so the quality is top notch. Prometheus also makes the most durable piston I have ever used. I have used TM, CA, G&G, G&P, Deep Fire, Modify, HurricanE, Guarder, SystemA, and probably a few more and no one compares to the quality and durability of the Prometheus hard type piston.

As for M14's, Guarder is the only company that makes tune up parts for them that ever seem to be in stock anywhere. Other companies make a part or two for M14's but as far as I've seen Guarder is the only one that makes full sets. My M14 has a Guarder cylinder enhancement set because I had airleaks due to a broken cylinder head, compression is amazing on it now.

Hot damn, thanks for that info LUTNIT; I'm going to look into this now, however, I love Modify's modular gears... I HATE shimming.

Thanks for the pointers.
There are a few cases that I would actually like to specify:

Guarder M14 Cylinder Head vs. Prometheus V7 Aero Cylinder head
-The Guarder cylinder head has 2 O-rings, but more is not necessarily better.

Guarder M14 Nozzle vs. Prometheus M14 Nozzle vs. Deepfire Metal M14 Nozzle
-The Deepfire has a small O-ring on the inside.

Guarder Piston Head (nominal diameter w/Bearing) vs. SystemA Piston Head (nominal diameter w/Bearing. Poly or aluminum)vs. Prometheus Piston Head (nominal diameter w/Bearing. Poly or aluminum)

As I have stated before, I currently run the Guarder one as it came with the FTK.
Any hands on experience with these in comparison, anyone?

Thanks.

i too would like to know. i like the idea of a M14 enhancement kit from guarder, but my question is, if i build the same kit with prometheus parts, which would be better? I know prometheus is more expensive and, by definition, has better QC, but is it really necessary? I have the guarder cylinder set in my CA G36K, and it is performing really well.

Last i heard, the prometheus has an inner o-ring as well.
