Battery Charging

I have an 8.4V Mini 1500mah NIMH battery that I use for my SCAR at the moment. I was told bymy local custom battery making outlet name Prairie Battery. I brought my my charger to them a while back, and they told me that it will take 1.5 hrs to charge my battery.

Is there an actual formula that I can use to determine the amount of time it will take for me batteries to actually charge w/o out be asking them everytime?

Since I will be eventually getting 2x 8.4V Large 4500mah NIMH in the next while for my M4 Project that has finally begun to start.

Divide the battery capacity by the current of the charger to get the hours needed for charge. i.e. 1500mah batt and 500ma charger = 3 hour charge.

Super Thermal Protected BC-725A NIMH/NICD Battery Charger

Also, says, " FAST CHARGING TIME 30-90MINS"

So it's just a dumb charger? Or is it a smart charger with peak detection?

Well....look at it. Does it have an LCD screen and/or buttons and settings you can change?

Or is it just a block with a plug?

EDIT: Just looked it up. Looks like a dumb charger.

To find out your charger's speed look at the back of the charger for output. It should say XXXmA
