Battery Charging
I have an 8.4V Mini 1500mah NIMH battery that I use for my SCAR at the moment. I was told bymy local custom battery making outlet name Prairie Battery. I brought my my charger to them a while back, and they told me that it will take 1.5 hrs to charge my battery.
Is there an actual formula that I can use to determine the amount of time it will take for me batteries to actually charge w/o out be asking them everytime? Since I will be eventually getting 2x 8.4V Large 4500mah NIMH in the next while for my M4 Project that has finally begun to start. Matt |

Divide the battery capacity by the current of the charger to get the hours needed for charge. i.e. 1500mah batt and 500ma charger = 3 hour charge.

So it's just a dumb charger? Or is it a smart charger with peak detection?

Well....look at it. Does it have an LCD screen and/or buttons and settings you can change?
Or is it just a block with a plug? EDIT: Just looked it up. Looks like a dumb charger. To find out your charger's speed look at the back of the charger for output. It should say XXXmA Last edited by Styrak; September 2nd, 2008 at 03:24.. |
