Need help putting my slide back on
Hey all, got a really simple question for you guys.
I have a WA Beretta M92FS Inox that I wanted to put a harder recoil spring into. Mission complete aside for one small problem, the slide won't stay on because I can't lock it back in. What is the trick to being able to re-engage the slide release on WA m92fs. I'm not talking about the slide lock, but the button and small lever that you use to slide the slide off of the gun. I seem to remember having to squeeze the slide at one point, but I haven't been able to figure it out. Please let me know. |

I had the same issue when I got my WA 92FS. It was confusing at first, but really, it's quite simple. Put the slide back on, then push the slide and guide rod back a bit from the muzzle end of the gun. You should them be able to engage the lock.

I think I found the position, but the lock doesn't seem to want to engage. It's jamming up against something. Should I force it or just keep trying moving it back further and further?
Thanks for the help by the way. |

Yeah, that's what mine was doing as well. That's standard for WA Berettas. I'll try it again with mine at home tonight and see if I can come up with a better explanation. I think I'm not explaining it properly.

This is a common quirk for this gun it seems. When I have this problem I find that a gentle push on the inner barrel does the trick. You need something just big enough that it won't go into the inner barrel, but small enough to fit into the outer barrel. (I've got a pencil eraser that's perfect, so thats become my official reassembly tool.)
