It's a WE. You can see WE's logo on the trigger guard. SOCOM Gear is the distributor.
WE1911 can't use TM1911 mags. I wonder if the tolerances are better than earlier WE1911 models.

I thought socom gear cnc'd all there parts. I could be completely off I just remember reading something like that on airsoft news.

so are the grip pieces genuine grip plates used on real wilson combats or licensed remakes? because couple of my friends in taiwan are beggining to doubt the validity that they are real wilson grips because of how much they cost

The barrel bushing and spring plug are prone to breaking, if the recoil spring guide isn't cut down. It hits the bottom of the spring guide. So same problem as other WE's. But replacement parts are easy to come by using real steel, or talk to socom gear. Otherwise the thing is a beast. Shoots hard, and fast. Great pistol. One of my top favorites! |

Terrible finish.
Great performance from what I've heard. FYI, SOCOM gear is correcting the bushing issue, and is releasing a CNC'd aluminum slide...... >> From:info@socom gear >> To: kos >> Subject: RE: Message from SOCOM GEAR >> Date: Tue, 26 Aug 2008 13:51:02 -0700 >> >> We will have CNC slide coming soon which is much lighter than the > currently >> slide. |

I'm interested in knowing what features make a pistol 'CQB.' Seems redundant to me. However, very nice pistol, one of my faves for sure.

I think the idea is that the pistol is usually the primary in CQB situation when you are carrying a full size rifle normally.....
