G36C need advice
Would this loadout be good for somone with not too much airsoft expirience?
KWA G36C ACOG scope Intellect 9.6v NiMH 2000mah 2 KWA Highcaps Sling Any suggestions on upgrades i would need? Also what kind of ACOG scope would you guys recommend? And what would all of this cost? I know the gun would be about 500-600$ new but im not sure about anything else. Thanks |

seems like a pretty good start. there are nice ACOG replicas in the age verified sections that look great, im thinking of getting one.
Look into standard mags rather than highcaps though since winding them is a pain. Also look into a good charger, its a must. and dont forget gear starting with goggles, vest and BDUs. sounds like a good starting point though. Dont forget to look through the FAQ, especially the newbies guide, its really helpful |

Can't help you with the costs....I'm not a great shopper.
The G36C is fine. Replica ACOGs are notorious for poor eye relief. An aimpoint RDS might be more user-friendly. If the 9.6v 2000mah battery is one of those butterfly types...skip it. You may need to check specifics, but if the KWA G36C is like most others...a regular "rectangle" 8.4v 1400mah mini is a tight fit as it is. Hicaps suck...but that's just a personal preference. Some games around here are specific no-hicap games. Upgrades are dependant on what you're trying to achieve. Longer battery life, higher FPS, higher ROF, more accuracy, etc... Have fun, Tys |

Skip the ACOG unless you're looking at a non-magnified version. It's a good idea not to start with magnified optics and the G36C is usually a short-medium range gun that doesn't require magnified optics anyways. Plus it'd sit pretty high.
I'd recommend 1500mah mini batteries instead of 2000mah, for reasons of cell dimension affecting battery performance. You probably won't need 9.6v, 8.4v will do just fine. Instead of hicaps, I'd highly recommend midcaps (MAG or STAR). It's a lot more fun having to reload.

i hear the eye relief isnt that great on an ACOG. But other then that it seems fine. Expect that loadout to cost you a good chunk of change (700+) my advice would be to get midcaps instead of hicaps. I personally use STAR 140 rounders.

Well apperenty the gun is "lipo ready" so it can use lipo battery's
Does anyone have any expirience with these batteries? Also I curently have a army helmet, woodland camo BDU and am in the process of purchasing some ESS Thermal Goggles |

I personally would recommend for you to get either a CA or TM G36. For TM you are stuck with a G36C unless you get a conversion. As for CA you have a choice between the C, the K and full length version.

well i kinda wanted to get the KWA G36C because it was "pre-upgraded" so I didnt have to worry about buying differnent parts for it
what are the differences between KWA, TM and the CA versions of the G36C? |

Of the three, CA has the best body, KWA has the highest rated internals, TM is the most reliable out of the box.
Personally, I'd go with the CA. I've owned both the TM and the CA.

A few members here are using LiPo (including myself). They are good, but stay away if you don't know about them. (and you do since you asked).
They require a LOT more care and maintenance than regular batteries. And a specific charger. Other than that, your setup looks good. +1 for the RDS. The ACOG will sit too high to be used efficiently. Best bang-for-the-buck is a Tasco 30mm RDS. 50$ at Walmart/Canadian Tire. It is made for real guns, actually shotguns, so it is VERY rugged. Plus it looks perfect on a G36C. An AimPoint replica, especially the Comp M2 version can be nice too. Make sure to get a straight or "L" mount. A high/cantilever will set it WAY too high. And if you want magnification, you can add a 3x with a flip-to-side mount. MAG brand magasines are way better than anything else. They are only 140/160 midcaps or 30 rnd realcaps. If you plan on playing small games with very little rules, go with the midcaps. They are more reliable than highcaps, cost about the same price for the same amount of BB and they don't make any noise when you run. Highcaps tend to stop feeding as soon as they are a little dirty or as they get older. They are good at start. Stay away from King Arms magasines. They don't fit in my friend's G36C (way too tight, you have to bash the mag in and fight it out). That battery is crap. And if it is the "nun-chuck"/"butterfly" type, it won't fit in your gun. You can get a special pack with 6 cells+2 separate cells with a short wire. These are 1700-2000mAh, but they require some modifications to the front section and you have to remove the switch. Best bet is an Intellect 1600mAh mini. Made with 2/3A cells, they can deliver more current. That is what is important. 8.4v or 9.6v, as you wish. I would take 9.6v since the gun is pre-upgraded to 400ish fps. Might be hard on the 8.4v pack. |

thanks for all the help
something is bothering me how far would the G36C shoot compared to a M4, or M16? |
|

Can't answer that.
But here is a rough. For the same power (FPS), the G36C, M4 and M16 will shoot the same range. Efficient and usable range will be less on the G36C than M4. Same goes for M4 vs. M16. Longer barrel means better ACCURACY. Range is almost always the same for the same FPS. |

also would anyone recommend getting a grenade launcher for a G36C?
if so what kind of type is good for the KWA brand? |

M4 man, I can't get enough of them. Also accessories and parts are easier to come by.
