Short Armalite Mag Carry Method
So i have done a little searching around, used the nifty search button, dug thought the FAQS, and i haven't come up with anything. How do you carry Short Type Armalite Mags?
I realize that using a normal mag pouch on a vest would cause it to play mole and hide in the hole, so what do players in the community use? Currently I own a CF Tac-Vest, which i refuse to use in matches, and some old American Webbing with all the pouches. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help, and sorry if this topic has already been covered. Additionally, yes i know about the age verification and such, i'm working on it, no need to remind me. |

If you are using the proper pouch for you mag(s), then it's not a problem.
Some guys like MagPuls, others make their won with para cord and some gun tape. If you resort to putting mags in your pockets, expect to spend money on mags periodically.

If by short mags you mean VN style armalite mags, then you may find this link helpful.
Its from earlier on this year but its something to look into atleast. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?p=614390 Best of luck.

one solution is to make pouch plugs, any non-water-absorbing light weight material will work, some people use bits of wood which works but does absorb water a bit and pending how you make the plugs can add some weight, though kinda balances the weight of the real steal to the typical airsoft mag.

Duckman fitted the BHI vest I use with foam inserts. I will be getting ranger plates to help in faster mag removal. (or I'll go with para cord/flat webbing)

Or use the pouches that're made for 20-round Armalite mags and will fit on your existing Alice webbing.
I used to use a bandoleer for the short Armalite mags.
