Can I get airsofts guns from canada??
I want to get an airsoft gun but every website i've found is American and has a huge delivery fee (almost as much as the gun sometimes). Are there any Canadian sites/companies/stores in or close to Toronto I can buy from? Also I'm getting my first airsoft gun and I don't have too much money. I'm either gonna get a spring or gas model, electric's too much right now. What's the difference in quality with gas and spring models other than the shot capability? Is gas more worth it? Also I'm specifically looking for L85 models.
Thanks for the help!! |

if you order guns outside of canada they will get ceased by the border. get age verified first then you can buy guns within canada here in the classified section. save up a few hundred dollars as well if you want to start out as airsoft is an expensive hobby. between gas and springer, definately go for the gas gun as it has a more realistic feel to it. gas guns however need a lot of maintenance work to keep it functioning good. also do some research on the gun you want to buy first before actually getting it.

there is alot to learn on this site, about gas, spring and electric airsoft guns, please read threw some of the FAQs here: http://airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21
as far as stores go, no there really are none, the only way to get airsoft in Canada is to become age verified, more on this in the FAQs. if you are looking at an L85 really all there is, is auto electric guns (AEG) and it will run you between 400-700 depending on where you get it. this site holds alot of information, please read the FAQs for more indepth answers, i quickly answered some of your questions but at this moment im to lazy to do a big write up

If you are 18 years and or older, please contact an Age Verifier in Toronto to Age Verify you on this airsoft forum.
Age Verified is a system that allows your account to browse the Classifieds section in AirsoftCanada to buy used or new airsoft guns and parts. |

If you are looking for L85 guns, all there is available are electric models from STAR (now Aries), ICS and G&G. To my knowledge, all of these are only available with black recievers, which are restricted, so finding one from the online retailers will be difficult at best. They all have their pros and cons. I only have personal experience with the STAR L85 and it's a pretty nice piece of kit, though finding the proper battery is tough due to the size & shape. G&G were selling replacement parts for their L85 before it was even released but later models appear to have their problems fixed. I don't know if there are any ICS L85 in Canada, but if there are I hope the owners post here of their experiences.
Your best bet to finding one has been listed above.

there are a couple sites out there, just use boolean searching ( put +canada at the end) and you sure to find some sites, there are quite a few, not that I can buy anything from them...

I believe Mopic airsoft sells the G&G L85. That is if you are willing to pay for it, $600.
http://www.mopicairsoft.ca/AEG_s.html Correct me if I'm wrong but I am pretty sure this gun has blow back, if you are into realism.

Of course, since Mopic is a supporter of our Age Verification system, getting Age Verified would greatly facilitate your purchase with him.

Hi ! I have one of those ICS L85A2, it's one of the best L85 gun. It is way better than STAR and G&G. ICS usually do a split mechbox but on the L85, ICS actually like do copy it from the STAR, the spring is easily to change like 10 second and also it took me only anothe 10 second to take out the mechbox from the body.
You don't need any tool to disassemble this gun, it has only two pin hold the upper and lower receiver together basically you just need to push two pin which is identify like the pin the AR then it's done to disassemble it. For the battery storage is capable to store large 8.4 v and it does fit properly without modify. The battery is store at the hard guard. There are still more thing to describe like the trigger respond and etc... but right now, I don't have time so that's all I can tell. I hope it help you. For more information, you can check out on the ICS website. Quote:

Thanks for the responses guys, it really helps.
Another question, do airsoft guns have to be clear in Canada? |
|
January 11th, 2009, 18:35 | #12 |
The law says you can't acquire or import real looking fake guns, though possession and use are ok. But people have non-clear guns anyways, because the enforcement of the law is rather relaxed aside from importation and retailing. CBSA is generally strict about importation, police are generally less strict about acquisition.
So, even though the law says it should be clear, no one has really gotten in trouble with non-clear guns unless they did something stupid or import related.

If you buy from a Canadian retailer, it's already inside Canada, so you don't have to deal with the most legally hazardous portion of getting an airsoft gun.
