It might cost a few more $$$,but break down thoes parts (type of parts) and it works out better in the end. Less moving parts,ie. Tappet and you get a pretty rock'n motor with it It's kinda the poor mans PTW lol. I can't wait to drop one in my G&P and compare it to my PTW,Hmmm

It has electronic fire control like the PTW, so no half-cycles when you pull the trigger, and it has the PTW's nozzle system so no tappet plate.

Laylax 170 spring in my CA M24 sniper rifle netted me 587fps using 0.20g BBs, last year. So yes, hard core ouch factor!

My M150 in my M16 PTW does 540 fps with 0.20g.

There are some variations in spring strength, and it's quite possible that an M170 can get to 600 fps.

The burst mod on a 2008 EL-001 in a PTW is quite easy, so it stands to reason that it should be as simple in the Revolution, except that you will need to open up the gearbox to do it (versus popping out the bolt release and pulling a board in a PTW).

Do the current generation of PTW cylinder still need the o-ring replaced once in a while on the nozzle to not double feed?

The PTW had their issues when they where first released but since this is so similar most things should be worked out. Until they have been really well tested by players I will reserve judgment. I think everything in it is a great idea but at the same time I was so underwhelmed by my PTW I ended up selling it to get ICS guns.

My main gripe is that SystemA originally said they where going to release highspeed versions. Well they have an M90 version but it still has standard gears and a Magnum motor from what I can tell. Also I was hoping to see the 4 gear setup tweaked for either highspeed or high torque but it looks like its just torque and they use standard 3 gear setups in the lower powered mechboxes (M130 and under.) Lets hope the water proofing on the circuit boards is better than on PTW's, around half the PTW owners I have talked to (of those, half kit and half factory build) have had problems at rainy games with PTW's.

If I where to get one, I would probably toss it in a JG or stock TM body. There are more than enough front ends on the market that completely prevent barrel wobble on plastic receivers and it makes modding it to fit if there are issues far easier. Plus its lighter, though I don't care much for realism in that regard, I mean I have a 5.56mm silencer on my M14.

I would get one to see if it will work in my G&P M249. If it doesn't, I'll just use it for my M4.

Systema replaced the Viton o-rings previously used in the PTW with polyurethane about the same time they brought out the 490 motors, or about summer '07. All the rebuild kits come with them now.

I used to replace the Viton onse about 10K rounds or so, but I have now over 20K on the polyurethane, and it's still going strong, no signs of wear.

The circuit boards' location is both a blessing and a curse. In the PTW, they are easy to access, mere minures at most. But this leaves them a little vulnerable. The boys in the U.K. waterproof their boards, and few have moisture problems (and we all know how the U.K. can be for humidity and rain). In the Revo gearboxes, the boards are buried in the gearbox, and not likely to suffer a problem unless you totally submerge the gun in water. But, you just can't swap out a board, and must totally tear down the gun and mechbox like any other AEG.

At least with the Revo, you are not likely to ever suffer a stripped piston.

Yeah, thats one part of the gun I with they would release for normal AEG's. Just the 7mm piston and 7mm spring guides, I don't care if I need to use sniper springs or normal piston heads. Body is almost twice as thick all around and all hardened steel teeth.
