Umarex USA Walther P99 Electric Airsoft Mods

Hey guys, im an airsoft noob so please keep that in mind as you read =D
I'm thinking of buying the Umarex USA Walther P99 Electric Airsoft Pistol from bass pro (Vaughan/GTA area) and I was wondering how I can upgrade it to a higher fps, if possible, (currently 180 fps) strictly for recrational purposes (shooting cans =P).

That gun is junk. You can't upgrade it. There are no spare or upgrade parts available. And the gun will last a couple of hundred rounds at most. Not a wise purchase.

If all you want to do is shoot cans I would recommend a pellet gun over airsoft.

airsoft GBB's don't use CO2. some of the clearsoft ones do but non of the real airsoft ones do.

*edit* ya ya some have CO2 mags available blah blah

Electronic guns aren't that great. And the majority of REAL airsoft pistols don't run on CO2. They run off of propane. All you need is an AI propane adapter and a $4 propane cannister from Cdn Tire, and you're set for hundreds of rounds.

only reason why i look for electric airsoft pistols is because they were the only ones i find that are semi auto that dont run on CO2 but i never knew that others ran on propane as crunchmeister said so i'll look into that

Search this site for "Green Gas is Propane" and check out AI's website http://www.airsoft-innovations.com/ this adapter is made by one of our own members here too. big plus support Canadians!

after your AV'd most if not all our retailers have GBB's that run on propane. so all you'll need to do is pick a gun and pick a retailer.

sorry got the name of the thread wrong heres the link it's actually a sticky too http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread....en+gas+propane

correct me if im wrong but from what i understand is that greengas is the alternative to CO2? if so that would be great since i would not have to buy CO2 cartridges all the time, i can just go to my nearest canadian trie hehe
and im having trouble finding info on the propane adapter crunchmesiter mentioned, what exactly is that?

no propane is an alternative to green gas, co2 is co2! no substitutes

the propana adapter is this :http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=715 and propane is used in green gas airsoft gun not co2 ones.

after doing some research on the info i've gathered, i can buy a semi-auto greengas pistol, that i can mod of course, and order an AI propane adapter that i can attach to a regular coleman propane tank like the ones sold at canadian tire for refills?
