Do G36 Mags fit in Sig 552's and vice versa?
Topic
Ok I know I sound stupid, but I'm just curious. |

G36 mags are way bigger than sig552 mags.
1 G36 mag is as wide a 1 1/2 mag of an armalite rifle. Mainly due to they big bottom mag plate and clips on the sides of the mag. They are a pain to fit in magpouchs that are not designed for them.

55x mags have the clips on the side too, but they are thinner.

A single G36 mag fits very well into a double STANAG pouch. I find they fit worse (too tight) in pouches specifically designed for G36 mags.

I find that they sometime wobble in double mag pouches. That I don't like at all.
The clips on both side is a bad idea IMO. They should have made it an optionnal part or something in the mag bottom plate, that would not catch on stuff and also serve as some sort of magpull.
