Metal Guns
Hey everyone,
I will be age verified soon so that I may be able to view the classified section. But in the meantime, I just wanted to get an idea/approximation of the price for metal guns, especially the M4. Im worried that they will be sooo expensive that it will be beyond my budget (especially with the downfall of the economy). If so, I would need to stick with plastic lower receivers and paint them myself Thanks guys. |

Would that be ~$700 just for the gun itself, or ~$700 for both gun and accessories?

with $700, it's possible. Just depends who's selling at the time. Some go for big money, some are a steal. Just don't expect to see cheap stuff sitting for a long time. In the past few months, I've seen a few metal MP5 receivers get snapped up before I could click the reload button.
for $700, I'd even suggest you go new in the Retailers forum |

Well ill be frank with you. Im currently a collector right now buying my first gun, and I might play in games in the future but not right now since im quite busy. I chose the M4 because it appeals to me the most and ive always wanted to get one.
My $650-$700 is purely for the gun itself (no scope, no attachments, no gear, no vest, no apparel). The attachements I want are: silencer, ACOG, V3 carry handle, tactical rail for the riser, flashlight, vertical grip. I dont think these should cost too much though. So the majority of my budget is devoted to the gun itself. |

Hey Amos, i've gotta ask as well, who exactly sells BNIB CA guns? all the guys in the retailers section just sell gear. Or do i need to be age verified to see the actual gun retailers?

You need to be age verified... once you are everything will become very clear.
Right now I don't think there's any CA M4 RIS in the retailer section, but things change all the time. (The beauty of M4's is that all the parts are interchangeable so you can buy a base-line m4 then customize it into whatever you like and sell the parts you took off to people scratch building their guns) |

hey Amos, i got a question to ask you. You know for the CA M15A4 R.I.S. Carbine, is the rear iron sight detachable from the carrying handle? I want to be able to switch between the carrying handle + rear iron sight and just the iron sight itself.

The rear iron is part of the carry handle, There are tonnes of aftermarket things available for the M4, you can get rear BUIS... or you can do what some people do and simply chop down your carry handle.

Thanks for the help AMOS! I have 2 more questions for AMOS and anyone else who would like to add in their input:
1. Are there any other ALL METAL M4 RIS on the retailer/classified section besides CA (im waiting to be age verified and CANT WAIT)? 2. Are most ALL METAL M4 RIS ~$550 like what AMOS said or are some cheaper? Thanks! |

Things in both the retailer and private sales sections change on a daily basis. We could tell you there are 10 such guns now, you get verified in 2 weeks, they're all gone, and you won't see one for weeks after that... If you're in the process of getting verified, just wait till you get your access and you'll see for yourself.
Also, as Amos said, even if you don't find the exact gun you're looking for, you can always start out with another base model M4 and get aftermarket parts for it. There's always a bunch of RIS / RAS kits and stuff for sale in the private sales area.
