TOP Minimi rail fitment issues.
I have a TOP Minimi and want to purchase an ris rail system for it. After finding one online I procedded to check to make sure that it would fit. I removed the the hand guards only to find a steel hand guard mount that appears to be welded to the lower frame of the gun. After doing some research I discovered that on the A&K model when you remove the handguards the steel handguard mount comes with them. The Steel handguard mount on mine appears to be easily detachable as it is held in place by only to spot welds. Question is should I remove it? Has anyone else seen or heard of this problem?
