Aftermath Lycaon or Broxa?
Hey, first off, DONT SAY NIETHER. i am aware these arent the best guns and everything else but after reading up, i have found that they are all i need for my price range, and then some. so please dont be an asshole about it and unless you can answer my question, fcuk off.
anyways, i am trying to decide between these two guns here are my pros and cons for each. Lycaon Pros -retractable stock -looks -price -removable orange tip -metal gears Cons -small mag -unsure if there is a rail for my dot scope Broxa Pros -hand grip (could really care less) -obvious rail -large mag Cons -solid stock -price -plastic gears so if anyone could add anything that would be great. also, why is the broxa more? cuz the rail system and hand grip? i hope not. |

There's really no reason to be so rude...
The broxa doesn't have plastic gears.. Other than aesthetics those guns are pretty much the same thing. Choose whatever one you like better. |

yes there is rails for the lycaon you just have to buy them separately and for the mags just buy more they are tm compatible, and if you get any of these aeg a great thing to do would be changing the nylon bushings to metal ones, reshimming the gears, cleaning all the green goo inside the mechbox and maybe changing the connector for deans.

i would go with lycaon. i had first hand experience with both guns and the lycaon although lacking in rails and worse battery compartment has better accuracy and never had issues just stock. broxa is heavier and feels more solid but has misfeeding issues and horrible accuracy. since you're going for aftermath products might as well go with a kraken its in the same price range and way more durable.

NEITHER
Ok, now that that's out of my system, please don't be rude when asking us for advice. There is no reason for it. If people tell you a gun is better, or none are any good, it's because it's our honest opinion. If you don't like it, then don't ask for it and come to your own conclusions. We used to get a metric fuckton of posts from n00bs asking "which gun is best" or "which one of these is better".. and honestly, it gets tiring saying the same thing over and over and over. Granted though, it is our choice to do that, so...about those two. Essentially, they're the same gun. They're both a rebranded CYMA. The Lycon is smaller because of the collapsing stock, and has a small battery. The Broxa will balance better because of a large battery in the stock (not sure if it comes with one though), and a large battery will always last longer and generally give better rate of fire because of the higher amperage available. Both guns have metal gears.. don't know where you got your info from on that one. If by some chance you are looking at some other gun with plastic gears, don't bother. Any gun with plastic gears is crap. Things like magazines and rails are easy enough to fix with aftermarket mags and rails, and are thus not a big determination point IMO. Amos was correct.. those guns are pretty much the same (other than the minor details I listed above).. choose whichever one you like better.

shouldn't the retractible stock be a bit of a con as well, because it means you have smaller battery space, and they can break off a bit easier (at least thats what I read) and a fixed stock can make the gun feel a bit more sturdy then a retractable stock

if i recall i seen a youtube video where a guy trys to break the gun by hooking up many big battery's and feeding thousands and thousands of 1.2 grain. the cool part is the gun keep running fune and nothing wrong with it after
oh heres the link: YouTube - Aftermath Broxa Torture Part One and part 2:YouTube - Aftermath Broxa torture continues based on a few hours of research and constant reviews the broxa would be the gun i chose because the lycoon's stalk breaks. If you get the feed issue with the broxa some people say layering tape around the mag and siliconing the heck out of the guns base seems work most of the time though i don't own the gun nor tested it both seem to do the trick its clearly up to you cheers!! |

ok thx everyone for the help, im sorry if i came across as the asshole but i just wanted to make it known, that i have been doing my research. so once again im sorry. can osmeone tell me why exactly the kraken is better? i dont really like the look of it and thats why its not in the list only because first impressions mean a lot. now i seen on aftermath's site that a larger clip for the lycaon is $15, maybe more cuz thats USD. im alright with spending that and my bro said he will give me the side rail off his TF 16, so those problems are solved. thx

if you don't have alot of money to start with the kraken is the best gun, unless you get age-verified and save a little more for a better gun in the classifieds.

fps isn't everything, aftermath and other companies advertise their guns with high fps rates using .12g bb's to fool silly noobs that think fps is the most important aspect of airsoft guns.
things to consider in an airsoft gun: reliability durability upgradeability accuracy range power looks

FPS means nothing. Some of the best AEGs shoot around 330-340 FPS. Build quality and quality of parts means far, far more than FPS.

ok well
reliability-they all seem fine unless someone would like to say otherwise durabiltity-lycaon may have a bad stock, again would like more people to back that up b4 i consider it a deciding factor upgradability-im a newb with other things to spend money on. not an issue other than a bigger mag for lycaon accuracy- all say good things range- kraken, i would think because the barrel is longer power-no one has said much bout that looks- lycaon. |

you get what you pay for in airsoft, wise man say: cheap ting no good, good ting no cheap!
take everyone's advice n get the kraken, or do your own research and find out why it's better than the 2 shitty mp5's you're considering
