Sustained Full Auto Upgrades?
I've ordered an auto-winding drum mag for my CA G36K and I'm wondering what kind of internal upgrades I should look into for sustained fully automatic fire at a decent-high ROF? Increasing the stock 350ish FPS wouldn't hurt either so I can reach out and touch someone.
I'm currently running 8.4v 1400/1600mAH batteries on the stock gun, shoots just like day 1 still.

Well Im not sure why you would want constant sustained full auto bursts when short bursts work just fine. Just because you have a box mag doesnt mean you need to be a hoser...
But back to your original question, a little bit of everything wouldnt hurt. Gears, piston, good teeth for the piston if you can get one with removable/exchangeable teeth, a good motor, you might be needing a new tappet plate soon, and a batter with a higher voltage will up your RoF. Investing in some better wiring will also be on your shopping list. And of course make sure its properly greased and shimmed by an experienced gun tech. Again I dont see a point to constant sustained full auto, as you will just dump a shittonne of ammo, most of it not hitting anyone, and if you do catch anyone with a full auto burst and an FPS higher than 350 you wont be walking away with too many friends. |

- Reshim/regrease
- Metal spring guide - good piston (Modify are nice, so far the PP Systems Hard pistons are holding up well) - good piston head (Modify bearing poly are good) - Either a TM short, Guarder infinite torque up Short or a Magnum Short motor Large 8.4v 3500+ battery (batt bag on stock) Aim for high 300's - 400's. Modify S100/S110 spring Forget a tightbore |

I guess I'm just looking for a general upgrade, and at closer inspection my FPS is currently closer to 320~ and not 350~.

Internally, i think that 350 fps would be ideal for LSW:
Personally, i think you should keep the spring, and have these for internals: High-speed gears Metal bushings Metal spring guide MASK piston head MASK Cylinder head (w/ attached sorbo) Guarder or Prometheus Air nozzle Piston (either Modify, Guarder, or Prometheus) Battery: 9.6 -10.8v battery with has high a mAh as you can get. This will give you an insane ROF. if you run .25 or .28 at 350 fps, you will be able to reach out and touch someone. if you are really heart-set on increasing FPS, raise it to 365-380 with an M100 spring and still keep the internal upgrades. Of course, this is just my opinion. take it with a grain of salt. i cant speak for the other people who posted save for m102404, and i would take his advice to heart. the man knows his stuff and is only 1 of 2 people i would trust to work on my M14 (and later hopefully my Kar98k and MP5 ). |

Battery voltage is most important for high ROF but for internals that can handle that?
A super high torque motor, double torque up or helical gears, a metal spring guide is a must. I can tell you right now, I've spent the whole day putting a set of helicals in a G36 gearbox and an m120 spring and the CA stock motor is too weak to pull it. The stock CA motor is very crappy. Stock JG motors outdo it.

Alright, at least I've built myself a quote of about $170 for parts.
Spring Spring Guide Motor Piston Piston Head That look in order?

I'm currently building an RPK from the BattleAxe RPK kit (review coming soon!), but I built the mechbox months ago with the following:
TM gearbox shell Modify modular high speed gears Guarder stainless cylinder heard w/ sorbo pad TM piston with 1 tooth shaved TM full cylinder, polished Modify polycarb piston head w/bearing Guarder spring guide w/bearing G&P M120 High Speed Motor Modify S100 spring plus Guarder "clear" hopup rubber with Big Out "H" nubbin Madbull Black Python 6.03, 590mm DonP's Trigger Master mosfet (newest version) 11.1v 4400 mah LiPo The nice thing about the mosfet is that I can tune the motor speed so I don't out-run my hicap mags. Would be a worthwhile addition to your setup.

you might be better off sticking with the MASK stuff. it will provide better long term reliability IMHO

CA uses terrible grease. Replace it all with lithium grease. If you have any questions about G36 mechboxes, let me know on JOC. You'll also need some 9.6v batteries at the least for ROF.

are you going to spend the time to re-shim? should also upgrade the stock bushings to metal if they aren't already. I'd add one of the modify modular kits to your list. saves the headaches unless your already shimmed 100% perfectly. |

I'd recommend a MASK piston head n a sorbo dampener, It'll make your gearbox a lot quieter and actually save it from cracking/breaking.

Stock CA's are 7mm metal bushings already. (edit...might be 6mm...it's been a long day and I'm wiped)

They are either 7 or even possibly 8mm metal bushings. They are way bigger than standard bushings.
