STarting money
yeah, actually, I've just begun starting to save up, I have other expenditures so it takes some time for me...
But I was wondering on how much I should be looking to save up, since I've always been confused on which gun, or what kind of gear, a good figure would help me know when I'm ready to invest...All I really know is that the model will be an Ak...that is it...and that is nothing to go by, since many manufacturers do them... thanks. |

save at least $500, you can get a jg ak (pretty good if you ask me) and box of king arm mags with that. Then about another $30-$100 for good goggles. that's all you really NEED.

generally less will equal problems, I said $500 for BARE ESSENTIALS $1000 is minimum for camo and gear and all IF you get it all at good prices.

spend the bulk of your $$$ on the gun, it will help in the long run.
camo can be cheap, you can usualy find a set of OD for about $70 or less a good pair of goggles is about $50, boots about 100-150 (for new ones), gloves are under 30, mags are 40+ depending on brand. battery for about $40, couple bags of BBs $30, starter vest of some kind can be found for under $40. so for everything you need to start (that's not a gun) its about $460. if you want a bunch of accessories and what not it will just keep going up.

Get a Real Sword Type 56 about 700 to 800 $. Around 1500 $, you should get a good starter gun and nice set up of gear. Let say, 800 $ for real sword type 56. 100 $ for 10 waffle mag, 100 rounds each. Another 100 $ for good charger intellect. 2 stick 9.6 V Intellect and smart charger. The rest spend on your gear, like bolle google, whatever loadout you want. KND

$500 can get you a decent starter gun, battery, charger and some mags. From that point on it's all gear. You can get a BDU at a surplus store under $100. Get a good pair of goggles, boots, knee pads (they're more useful than some might think) and a vest, and you're up around $750. Anything else from that point on isn't necessary. However the more you play, you'll find things like a drop pouch, radio, headset, etc to be quite useful. So that can easily bring you up to the $1000 range. Then you'll be fully geared up and ready to go. But for a full basic setup, you're looking at the $750 range.

well since you are verified, shop around on the classifieds. I looked around and you coul get a basic kit and AEG for aound 550. There are so many deals going on daily here on ASC, so take some time to compare and shop smart. And if you are unsure of what is being sold, ie.: price looks to high or maybe want to compare styles, check out a few of these websites i recommend.
Keep in mind the first two are in hong kong and you might have to change the currency to CAD to get real prices. And not to forget that you cant bring in any receivers, or full AEG and GBB's. But the canadian ones are all good. You don't need alot of mags to start. Learn good trigger control. You can get by with the hi-cap the gun will come with. Extra mags can be bought later. Besides I recommend not buying an assload of mags right waya for your first gun anyways. You never if you'll keep useing that gun or not like it and change for another one. Besides right now there are a few good deals on AK's for sale in the classifieds.

800$ is a good starting amount. It get you the essential with good quality.
But a complete, essential kit would be more like 1000$ and up. But you can afford to play your first year with the bare essential, to learn what you like and what work for you.

My starting amount was around $650-700.
Just use your regular hiking boots (I'm sure you have something you can hike with lying around the house). Eye protection, can go from $30-$300. Depending on what you get, shop glasses (if the field allows), sealed ballistics, paintball goggles, paintball mask, etc. Just for reference I use shop glasses at the field I play at (like $5-10 at Home Depot or whatever). However it's probably best to get a paintball mask+goggles set which you can remove so you can play at any field.

Gun (Should take a large battery*) 350-500 Battery 40$ extra mags, a box of 5 will do 50$ You can play in your street clothes and still have fun. Jeans alone I can carry 6 M4 magazines. * Large will last all day and not die on you. Makes it more enjoyable. If your going to run a mini buy an extra battery |
