G&G MP5 - springs?

Hey all,

I recently purchased an MP5 from G&G and am really impressed with it. My only beef is that the spring for the magazine release doesn't seem to be stiff enough to hold the magazine tightly.

Initially, the weapon wouldn't even hold a magazine without user assistance, but now the mag will stay seated in the lower receiver, but often the ammo won't load into the barrel properly.

Has anyone else come across this situation, or could anybody suggest where I might be able to find a stiffer spring to replace the one in the magazine release assembly?

Thanks in advance,

I have a G&G MP5 SD5, and yes I do have feeding problems once in awhile. At first, it was hard for me to insert the magasine properly in the slot. But now that I know how (did some training ) I have no problems at all.

So, I'd recommend you keep trying until you find a way to insert your mags properly (gotta do it straight and with a little force)

Thanks very much Styrak for posting that other thread. The pics on it look very helpful, and I will be trying that method with a couple of my mags to see if it helps the situation. I think that with making that slight modification and ensuring my mags are inserted with enough force and at the correct angle will make all the difference.
