Ripped off on my FIRST purchse here....

well, here goes....

at this point, id say ive been ripped off, i bought a set of scope rings from an age verified member here on june 9th, i paid 20.00 plus shipping for them.came out to just over 30.00... its not the money, its the principal.

before i even inquired about them, i looked at the guys profile, and he has a ton of positive feedback, thats why i waited till now to post this, i sent him 2 pm's about it, and havnt received a response.....

on the day i paid (june 9th) he said he would send me a tracking#, well, ive never got the #, just a pm stating he received payment. bugger.

so if anyone knows Point_Man, pls ask him to send me the scope rings. i will wait till next week and then file a dispute through PayPal.... although he stated the paypal addy was his wifes.....i figured id wait 3 weeks, just in case they actually show up, but he's only one province away, so there is no way it should take more than a week or so.

what a disappointment, my first transaction.....

Just file the Paypal dispute now, it will open up the case for you. You can always cancel it.

Depending on the type of shipping and the date he shipped, I'd wait at least untill 1st july, July second actually, since its an hollyday.

If he cheaped on shipping and shipped Snail-Mail, it can take 3-4 weeks easy for a normal parcel to reach it's destination.

Xpress post normally take 1 week or 2 at best. If he was in Québec, keep in mind that the 24 was an hollyday (St-Jean, nationnal hollyday).

Either way, he should have gived you a tracking number if he shipped Xpress, at least to prove that he shipped it.

If he shipped reagular shipping it takes longer. there are multiple shipping levels, just because you are used to express doesn't meant all shipping is as fast, they guy probably shipped them regular and it'll be there within a week from now. wait till then.

Wow, living in Gretna you're pretty far off the beaten trail. Parcels going to rural areas like yours add an easy 2-3 days to any transit time.

However, that does not excuse the fact that he is ignoring you.

I suggest checking his feedback for any transaction where he was the buyer. Ask the seller if he/she could provide the shipping address used, then do a reverse phone # lookup and call it.

Worked for me last time I had an issue like yours, boy was the fellow surprised to hear me calling him out of the blue, and my item was shipped post-haste.

guys... it doesnt take 3-4 weeks for a parcel or mail to get here from ontario.

i ordered a satellite receiver from BC on sunday, and got it today.

my orders from the RcFlightstore in BC always take between 4-5 days...... 3 weeks is pure crap. especially since i was to get a tracking #.

if he'd just reply back, even if he said, sorry i forgot, that would be fine.

i do an awful lot of buying off the net with my other hobby, from places in canada, and all around the US, and even hongkong..... i know how the system works.

and BTW- i see he was online here today. he's certainly not responding to my pms. what a scammer.

for a guy who's pretty much a vet in the airsoft community (profile says joined 2001), i doubt he's scamming you for 30 bucks. just wait a bit more, see if he responds with answers about your transaction.

thats what i was thinking. thats why i gave it time, but the fact that there is absolutely no response to my requests for a tracking#, or the where-a bouts has made me file a dispute....he has been online here and must have seen the 3 pm's i sent to him. still no answer. that says ive been had. and the guy has a ton of feedback.... it just doesnt make sense.

but the dispute is through his "wifes" account, or so he said it was her's....

I've bought stuff from Point_Man... He's a really good guy...
He might be away or something. Have you checked to see the last time he was on ASC?

It has happened before here where old members grow out of airsoft, sell all there stuff and try to scam other newer players.

Did you bother to read anything this guy said? If you actually did you wouldn't of asked this question.
