Pro Win hopup for G36C
Hi. I have a TM G36C and I notice that when using my BB's (0.2g), they float upwards after about 80'. I have been told to use heavier BB's and that worked (I got some .28 Bastards), but I was wondering if the performance would improve if I installed a Pro Win blue aluminum hop up. Has anyone had any experience with this type of hop up on the TM G36C?
Thanks |

Turn your hop up down a bit first? Did you try adjusting the hop up at all? This just sounds like its turned up too high..

Yea, try lowering your hop-up, or, replacing the rubber

The original hop up had to be replaced because the gun was not used for a long period of time. I was still noticing that it was shooting high, so I replaced the hop up with a brand new guarder clear hop up rubber. It was better, but still shot high. And yes, my hop up is turned down as low as it can be.

It should break in, If you can't adjust it any more and it's still hopping to much make sure to try a heavier weight BB. Also clean you barrel, A piece of dirt in it will act as it's own hop-up.

On the Pro-Win hop-up itself, I have one installed...it's an SOB to install mind you, but I find it works quite well.

Yeah, I have heard problems with the installation of it. Does anyone know a hop unit that would be better than the pro win, or is it just the rubber? I thought it might need to have been broken in, but I have put a few thousand rounds through it since the installation and there is no noticeable change. I will pick up some additional BB's. Does anyone if it would be better to buy .25's or .28's (BB Bastard of course).

I find prowins a bitch because they're so tight, It's difficult to get the barrel and rubber in it. Now, I dunno if it'd be safe to use some kind of lube on it but if so then that should help. They're deffinatley nice once installed.

My prowin wasn't that bad to install, i did however have to take the forward most mechbox screw (the little one, in front of the stopper rail) out to make it fit. Once that was out, the mechbox slid into the prowin hop-up nicely though.
