About ICS upper gearbox
Hello everyone, I'm am currently undergoing an upgrade for my ICS m4 assault rifle.
But I hate the fact that I need to disassemble the upper gearbox every time I play outdoor, so I decided to buy a new upper gear box for my rilfe!... Now I'm new to the world of airsoft, so I'm not too sure where to start, but here are some issue I ran into: 1: I can't find anywhere that sells ICS upper gearbox for my m4(Box name: ICS 41 A1). 2: If the new upper gearbox's spring doesn't meet the FPS requirement for outdoor game, I'll need to upgrade it from an average of 360 FPS to 425 FPS. With the 65 FPS increase, what other things I might run into like: a: do I need to upgrade other parts of the upper gearbox to match the increase in FPS? b: do I need to upgrade my motor to match the increase in FPS? c: what other factor do I need to be aware of before and after the upgrade? 3: Will the upgrade increase the lag time from pulling the trigger to firing the BB out if I do not upgrade my motor? 4: Would I need to upgrade the battery if I upgrade my motor? Thank you for reading, any help, comment, or concern is greatly appreciated. |

Blazingtoys should carry everything you need as far as obscure ICS parts go.
http://www.blazingtoys.com/ics_parts.html I can't really help you with the other stuff though, sorry!

PM Shinobii...he runs Mach1 and has or can get any ICS part (no metal receivers though...sorry). I think he was bringing in extra complete upper mechboxes just for this purpose....sell as a set with a rifle, indoor/outdoor package.
In his talks with ICS, the Turbo 3000 motor performs well with upgraded upper mechbox. Using it with the regular upper mechbox was "peppy". If your battery is marginal now (i.e. sounds like it's dying or the motor is turning "slow") then it's not going to be any better with a faster upper. |
