Eotech too good to be true?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/552-Holographic-S...d=p3286.c0.m14

They claim that these 552 are NOT toys and if you scroll down to the specs, notice how they say PARALLAX FREE. Is this too good to be true?

Fake. It's an LED, not a laser, as well. It will not have true holographic qualities.

Real EOTECHs do not have green reticals. They have an IR retical which is invisible to the naked eye, but visible with NV devices.

Real EOTECHs are quite easy to photograph, and you can see where the laser beam breaks.

EXAMPLE of a real EOTECH:

Notice how easy it is to see even with a bright background. Also, how it looks to be the same size regardless of how far or close the eye is (within a foot or two from the retical).

I'd spend a bit more and get a real Bushnell Holo sight, least you'll have a real steel optic that performs like a holographic site should.

Thanks for clarifying! Even though its a fake, do you think it will be PARALLAX FREE?

All RDS's are Parallax corrected, but they don't perform like their real and more expensive counterparts should.

EOTech has an official web notice on this very subject.

Got a real EOTech a while back. Very expensive. It cost about as much as an AEG.. but it was definitely a good buy. Great piece of kit that can't be compared to the lowly airsoft clone.

Try any type of outdoor sporting good store like whole sale sports or bass pro.

EVERYONE is sold out, as of 3 weeks ago.

You can't even find them on the Bushnell site as they are way behind in production. I think people realized the core technology is the same (minus the NVG option) and started snapping them up. They not nearly as robust but for airsoft they work really well.

Great little site. I have a 552 and love it.
