Transportation and concealment.

Since the more experienced among you obviously know an answer to this question, I suppose there's no better place to ask it than here.

Now I own a CA M15A4 carbine. The receiver, magazine, barrel and parts of the RIS are made of metal. The Criminal Code of Canada would classify it as a "replica firearm". I've never been to an Airsoft game before, but I sure as hell didn't spend $750 and wait three months on the acquisition of this rifle just to plink at cans in my basement.

Now I couldn't sit on a bus or take the subway with something that looked like an M16 variant across my knees. If the first volley of bullets didn't kill me, then the tasers would. Unfortunately (And largely due to laziness on my part) I don't drive yet. So if I'm forced to walk any distance or take public transportation on my way to an Airsoft game, I could use some help on concealing and transporting my weapon in a way that would rouse the least amount of suspicion and give my ass the highest amount of coverage if the SHTF.

I'm a careful man. I've got no criminal record. I'm planning on a stint in the military, followed by a career as a police officer. I know, I know. I've chosen the wrong hobby.

I still really, really love Airsoft and would love to become an active member of the community. Oh thou members of ASC who've been to more games than you can count on your fingers, I need your wisdom.

I tried that when my crapsoft wal-mart springer broke and I took it back to those morons to ask for a refund. Everyone looked at me like it was a bomb. And my south asian background doesn't help my case.

But you're right, it's probably the best way. any other ideas?

Postscript: I'd spraypainted said crapsoft gun black. It still looked utterly unconvincing, but you should've seen the look on the customer service clerk's face when I opened the case. I had to explain to her calmly and slowly that it was, in fact, a plastic toy.

There is nothing to worry, I never got a problem for carrying gun case or gun bag in public transportation like Metro or bus.

Last time that I used transportation to the game, I carried 2 M4A1 in my soft gun bag and an MK46 in my aluminum gun case plus a big bag gears with Multicam pants and hat. I also met up a cop on the way back home at the Metro, He didn't even look at me.

I don't understand...
So why buy a guitar case when carrying an AEG in a normal gun case with locks is legal..?

First time I brought my SPR in a guitar case to a game, I was suprised about how people looked at it...
Anyways, you would want a gun case for comfort of the gun and protection.
Guitar cases is too heavy, + expensive.

Seriosuly, I'm going to buy a hard-shell rifle case soon, guitar case is just handy until then

Or for the uber paranoid, a locked hard case inside a duffel bag.

oh, well that is handy. the field in K-town is more along the lines of what I said. it is about 15 minutes up a road on the far end of the airport which is already about 15 minutes out of kelowna.

I have a soft rifle bag, take the bus and metro with it and never had a problem.
the best solution is a short rifle in a regular bag.

for out-of-city destinations, always ask for a ride, it makes you meet the people, make friends, gives the opportunity to give gummy bears around.
I have to buy more gummies btw.

Guitar case is good, but make sure you have good padding, you don't want your very expensive gear to bang around in there.
