Question upgrading FPS on a TM M3 clone

Hello ladies!
I have this M3 clone, I'd like to upgrade the FPS by changing for a slightly stronger spring.
(probably SP100, I want less than 350 fps.)
I haven't chronied it yet but it seems to shoot the usual 280 fps right now.

here are my questions:

1.is it possible?

2.is it useless, considering it has no hop-up ?

3.is the job of taking it apart tremendously hard?
the technical manual here makes it look pretty intense.

http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filn...techmanual.htm

thank you !

(please, only serious answers, thanks.)

Hey J.

1. is it possible? surely but finding springs for shotguns is not easy I think (it's actually two springs one inside the other).

2. I wouldn't know but shotguns have minor fixed hop-up (I know cuz when I use light BBs in my M3 clone they fly right up). I think a 3320 fps shotgun would be nice

3. Not very complicated. There is a pic by pic instructions post somewhere (I can dig it out for you). I opened and closed my M3 like 20 times already (so I can give you a hand). The "mechbox" can be a bitch to close because of the spring but it's not so bad.

Yea, It does have a hop-up and at higher velocity it may be over effective meaning you'll have to compensate with heavier ammo. It should be possible but like Silverthorn has said the spring is different so it's hard to pick which one would be best for it.

I don't know if "melded" is the right word. There is a smaller spring inside the bigger spring. En francais : y'a un spring plus petit au milieu du spring plus gros

Here is the link for the step-by-step I was telling you about. Very well done.

I have an exploded diagram of the internals if you'd like it, send me your email and I'll send it off.

I've opened a few of them and changed parts successfully. Need any help, drop me a line.
