New to airsoft

Im looking to try airsoft in the edmonton alberta area and im under 18 and ok with the lower clear resever for naw but my bigest questions are where to play and what would be a good start out gun?

If your under 18 then you better wait until you are 18 as most places won't even let you play until you turn 18. Not only that, but once you are 18 then you can get Age Verified and you can access the classifieds here where you aren't restricted to only clear receiver guns.

How old are you by the way? Spend the time until you turn 18 to conduct your research, educate yourself with the rules, build a reputation here without stirring shit up and you will find us being very welcoming to minors without attitude.

We just do NOT condone the ownership or use of airsoft for minors, so don't ask us where to get guns.

At least you got the age thing right off the bat. You sound responsible, I mean it's not like you're asking how to get guns and that you'll be playing in forests and stuff and you don't care what we say. Some clubs will allow under 18 on a case by case basis. I don't think EAR does though (I'm pretty sure it's 18+ only no exceptions).

There isn't any harm asking however be prepared for a "no, come back in x years" or "come back when you're 16+". There are a few underaged players who do play however most of them have proven themselves and live in areas where the clubs will allow 16+ or something like that.

For now though saving up money and learning how things work is the best course of action. I don't condone underage ownership either.

Not familiar with the rules in Edmonton, but some places in Calgary allow 16/17 year olds to play with parental consent/presence.

Have you read stuff in the FAQs yet? It's very long but a good read. Start saving up now for a good gun from the classifieds when you hit 18, airsoft is NOT a cheap sport. Conduct some research, if you can look at a friend's AEG to get used to the internals of one. Don't make people mad here, as a lot of us underage guys get a lot of shit because of all the bad-underage-guys who come here. Be respectful to people and people SHOULD eventually show respect back to you One time a lady was yelling at me and I gave her a smile and a "Good morning!" and she had the most dumbfounded look on her face.
