CA M4 problems

Hey, my CA M4 will not fire. It sounds like something is jammed in the gears, but I'm not sure. The motor spins freely off the gears, but when it goes back on, it sounds like it's trying to spin them but they wont budge. What do you guys think is the problem?

sounds like a stripped piston or gear...

Does the thing cycle at all? (Read: shoot a BB)

Nope, it's locked up completely. You can hear it trying to turn them. It started up locking up for a bit, I'd shake it, smack the side etc then it'd fire, then in the middle of training it locked up for good.

What voltage battery are you using?

It sounds like it's either too weak, or your trigger contacts are heavily corroding / welding themselves...

Or it could also be way too tight shimming or improper motor strength to spring ratio...

There's actually ALOT it can be... but the shaking and smacking makes me thing it's either trigger contacts.... or.. are your wires in the pistol grip on securely?

The wires are on securely. As I said before, the smacking only helped before. It's been down for a week now. The battery is a 9.6v, sub-400 FPS spring. The thing is, the BB's don't even get loaded. They dont roll out the barrel either

Sounds like a broken tapet-plate to me.

What does a tappet-plate do exactly? I'm looking into learning the internals, might as well start with the function of all the parts :P

Yup. That sounds like a broken tappet

Tappet pulls the nozzle back so the BB's can load from the magazine into the hop-up unit.

If the tappet shattered, then maybe. plastic shards and debry (sp?) is your mechbox is never a good thing :P
