That's been seized, and you'll most likely never see it again.
Bodys are prohibited for importation, so your receiver is the problem. EDIT: My mistake, I don't know where I saw a silencer...

You tried to import a prohibited device (the receiver) and it got caught. It does not matter is you've done it before and never had an issue, you got caught this time. Basically, you have to contact CBSA and explain why you think you should be allowed to import a prohibited device without appropriate permits. I'm presuming you do not have the proper permits. All the other stuff is fine, they just seized it because. The receiver is gone though.
We have an entire thread on Importing Airsoft and the hazards of just ordering whatever you want. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=40318 I've already deleted several replies that were insulting and not helpful. Please stay on topic and be civil or infractions will be handed out. No suppressor listed in that list. A fore end yes, no suppressor.

I vote for sticky on this topic. It might help some of the noobs finally understand. Or not. Can't hurt though.

I know that bodies are prohibited also, which means that at least 2 underage people spotted that. you have been on here for more about 4 years, you probably should know that too.
sorry if this came off harsh but it is the truth. |

I agree with them. You have been here long enough to know better.
Really there is nothing you can do you imported something you were not allowed to and it got taken. Chances are your never going to see that package again. Just because Im curious what gun was in there and how much did you lose on this mistake? *+1 for stickying this post for others to not make the same mistake.

thats what i was thinking... if its a gearbox then call them and explain smootly and politely what it is... if its a receiver then pray they will be kind enough to send you the non prohibited items (wouldn't count on it)

So since he brought the receiver, EVERYTHING else is confiscated? Thats douchy.

He can appeal for the other pieces but since it was all one package it was all taken. Thats how it works. He has the option to try and get it all or parts of it back but the odds are against him.

Actually, it's not seized. That form is for the detention of goods, and held for determination to see what's allowed in, and what's not.
Seizure notice would be sent after it's been determined what stuff is prohibited. What should happen is the stuff allowed to come in will be released, while the prohibited items seized. He'd be given a seizure notice form, with the address to write to appeal, as most of you guys would probably know. So all this guy's stuff isn't doomed right off the hop. Can you confirm that you did actually order a receiver?
There have been instances where customs have held gearboxes thinking that they were receivers. Edit: doh, didn't read the previous comments Last edited by Cuddles; November 6th, 2009 at 01:13.. |
