GBB mag top seals

Hi guys,

I looked through the internet and the forums but I couldn't find anyone who mentions this....hope this is the right forum to post this too. I always wondered, is it a good idea to put lube on the big rubber seal on top of the mag? The one where it has a square hole where the gas shoots out on the mag and makes a seal with the gun? or can we just leave it alone. I know when you buy a spare mag there is nothing on it....any ideas?

I put a dab of light weight silicon oil on my finger and spread around a light coat about once a month (in addition to regular maintenance.)
