First Timer - KJW G23
Hey all...
First timer GBB owner. When I rack the slide of my KJW G23, the slide dosn't stay back, with an empty mag, as I would expect it to. Ideas?

Your follower spring may be getting weak. How long have you owned it?
Could also be that your follower has worn down, and thus it doesnt engage the slide lock and push it up and lock the slide back when you rack the slide. Basically... how long have you had it? |

Got it used.
Looks really well taken care of - basically new. Would this take away from the guns usage?

Hells no. Just listen to the sounds of the shots. If/when you figure out the sound/sight of not shooting BB's, you reload. Simple.
My WE 1911 doesn't lock back half the time, but I load my mags to a real cap (7 rnds) and thus I reload after 7 shots with or without the slide locking back. |

Have a look at the slide lock also : put an empty mag and pull the slide all the way back, see if it goes up or not. See in the mecanism if there is a metal or plastic shard in the way.
I had that problem on my first GBB which was a G23 from KJW. |
