How to install m4 rail system
Hello ASC,
I have just got some D-BOYS m4 rails and they do not fit on like my standard handguard. Is there a trick to installing these rails? Thanks. |

You'll have to be more specific about what you actually bought.

Would taking the front sight off help perhaps?

Have you even tried to put it on?
That one looks like it replaces the handguards... Then you tighten one screw to hold it in place.. |

The rails appear to be to long for the space between the delta ring and the front sight..

I believe you can loosen up the front sight by turning the screw underneath it. Slide it forward so you have enough room for the RIS, then tighten it back.

Ok so I have now got the room for the RIS thanks to strikefreedom
But I have found out that both the ICS and JG spacer ring ( the thing that keeps the hanguards in place) is to small for the rails them self and thus they can't fit. Can you buy larger ones or am I jipped 65 bucks? Thanks all |

Bottom line the -boys rails are not compatible with anything
End thread. |

You sure you're doing it correctly? Unscrewing and screwing in the support piece on the upper handguard, etc?

I'm having some issues with installing my DBoys 3381 SIR and am starting to get the feeling that my M4 (SRC M933, a TM Clone) just wasn't made to be modified like this. It is a CQB M4, I doubt that has any relevance, but just putting that out there.
The Top half of the rail wont fit in, and I can't remove/move the Front Sight as it wouldn't be able to slide forward and off. The only thing I can think of doing would be to remove the Outer Barrel and then attempt to slide the sight post off that way. Has anyone ever tried/done this with their M4? I'm still very new to Airsoft, and am even newer to customizing, so I don't want to break anything. And sorry if it bugs people that I posted in this thread, I just did it because it was essentially the same issue. |

Here's the deal.
The DBOYS RAS (Rails you bought) works with Classic-Army or Real-steel type delta rings. I think G&G, and G&P also use the same type of delta ring. The Jing Gong delta ring is likely a Tokyo Marui clone with uses it's own proprietary type of delta ring. As for ICS - I have no idea, never used one before. |

Hate to beat a dead horse, but if you're still having problems with the rail system, I believe you have the same one that is currently being sold on huangs site (airsoftdepot.ca), which requires a new front plate in order to fit any TM clones. the front plate is the thing behind the front sight that the handguard fits into. huang has the front plates available for $5, so message him and ask (if you're still trying to fit it)
