Cheap S&W Masterkey

Okay so I've Been toying with the Idea of making a cheap masterkey and I thought I'd post up to get some input.

My idea is to simply mount a Cheap clearsoft S&W M3000 shotgun from Wal-Mart. Last I checked they Ran around $40.

I took some pictures of it With my SCAR, just to get and idea of what it may look like, from what I can tell all I need to do is cut off the pistol grip mount, or could just mount it as the gun is no cutting at all.

I'm aware that it will likely be useless in a game but i thought it might be something fun to try for shits and giggles.

in the first picture you can see what it may look like mounted as is, and the second shows where the cut would need to made to mount it without the grip.

Feel free to share thoughts.

I used to do that with an old M4 I had just for the look.
Its super simple, remove the screw that holds the pistol grip on.
File done the excess material that would otherwise block the magwell.
Use brackets or scope ring mounts to attach the two RIS pieces together.

I decided to do the same thing with a Wal-Mart Shottie, but I thought it was too long... So, I decided to cut every down to fit.

Everything went well except I had to get new threads cut on the metal pump rail... Well needless to say the machinists in my town are idiots and screwed up making the new threads and instead of letting me know they screwed it, they cut the part they screwed up on, off! I just gave up the idea after that... I might try it again... I do like the looks of an AR with an Masterkey!

RIS for Tri shot

I think the S&W plastic RIS is a little brittle for that app But...

I got these two guns for Xmas. The Tri shot and the S&W.

Take the plastic rail off the S&W (8 small screws) and put it on the Tri shot ,

" IT FITS but there are no screw holes that match up"

You will have to attach it somehow, ( glue or screws ( be carefull not to screw through the gun )

Throw on a cheap reflex sight and BOOM your a short range sniper (50 feet).

The Tri shot is Very accurate at that range for the price.

I am shooting .36 BB

Now all i need is a shoulder stock for the Tri shot. Anybody know where to get one ? looking through the web sites I cant seem to find any.

Yeah I have a crossman Tri shot, but I've only plinked with ti twice and it's already cracked, I've found from personal experaince that the S&W are actaully pretty strudy, It was the "staple" gun for me and my friends before the Real steel was available to us, and we still use them as loaner or back up guns, thanks for the input guys. Does anyone know if someone sells actual kits?

Hey, looking good so far.

Yeah, I'll have to agree. The Walmart S&W was a great gun before they 'updated' it. It shot hard and pretty true for something that costed us 30 dollars at the time, before Mills and I here was age verified we had used these. That one in particular (in the image) is the one I had used years back.

Anyway, I think your best bet would be to salvage some 20mm scope ring brackets from a couple sets and attach them on that way. I've seen people saw off that extention peice that the grip screws onto. That would probably make it fit more easily on the SCAR.
