CA AUG A1 motor just makes whirring noises

Like the title says. I got a brand new CA AUG and today was going to be it's first match... However I barely got to fire off one shot, and then the motor started making odd noises. Normally, you all know the whop whop whop sound it makes, even when dry-fired. Well now, instead of that, all I get is a continuous "whir" noise. It should be noted that I test fired this this at a friends house prior to the game, put 600 rounds through it and it worked fine. So why now?

My question is... What do you think the problem is and is it even practical to attempt to fix? I really don't know, I don't know these guns well enough yet to say anything with any amount of confidence. 'cept that it sounds like its the motor :/

Anyways, any help would be appreciated

Either the motor is too low and isn't contacting the gears, or you have stripped gears or a stripped piston.

my guess is that your 'test firing' stripped a piston or gear or both.
or the motor has moved down, which is a very very low probability.
you need to take out the gearbox (from the butt), check the motor (probably not the cause) , and then take the gearbox apart.

I'm assuming the motors behind the plate separating the battery compartment from the gearbox/guts n such?

absolutely, remove the plate with the 2 screws and then you can access the gearbox.
you HAVE to remove the barrel (either receiver-barrel or just the barrel) before taking out the gearbox or you'll risk to break the cylinder head's nozzle while doing so.

The gearbox is not held in position by screws or anything so you just need to shake it out of the body; beware of the shell ejector shutter, it's mounted on top of the gearbox and comes out with it.

you are removing ST21, and taking out blocks ST25, ST26,... to 31.

Well I actually want to clarify here: When I hold the trigger down full auto, i simply get a constant electric "whir" with no "pop" at the end like normal.

Also, in a probably unrelated issue, why do I hear BBs rolling around inside the plastic stock and handle? :/

it's exxxactly the same thing.

Brockavich: your AEG definitely needs to be opened and checked.
the whiiirrrr noise is characteristic of a stripped tooth somewhere inside the gearbox, either on one of the gears or piston.
the motor is turning freely and not cranking the spring.
BBs rolling around in the body are easy to get rid of.

I concur. Either it's a gear or blown out piston. Another possible but less likely option is the motor is way too low and not engaging the gears, but I think a broken part is more likley. It's unlikely it would be anything else.
