Next Gun
Hi all. I just got my first airsoft gun and ive played a few rounds with it.
It's an M4 Carbine, but the only other gun i have is the crappy spring pistol that came with it. What would you guys recommend as my next gun? I live in southern Ontario, and i'm up for springer electric or gas, however im trying to keep below 150 bucks, but ill go to 200 if I really think it is worth it, or if i can find some reviews, thanks. Moderators if this isn't in the right section please move it, and i may not reply for a while because im moving this weekend, thanks again Last edited by hippo130; January 29th, 2010 at 16:14.. You won't find anything for worth for under 200 bucks, beleive me. Airsoft is an expensive sport.
As for terms of guns... Its more of your choice than it is ours, Look up real world guns that you like, see if they're available through the preveiws on the classifieds here. Then get age verified. Don't waste your money on walmart or clearsoft shit, save up and get something of worth. That is all of the help you will get from us as far as guns go. |

Kid get age verified, nobody will help you find a gun if you are under the age of 18, we do not support minors purchasing, owning, or using airsoft guns.

Most of the gun sales here in canada go through the classifieds in this site. Go through the FAQ section and educate yourself on the situation involving airsoft in canada, legal aspects and the like before you delve into the sport. Its a lot more complicated than just buying a gun and being on your merry way. Since we're dealing with replica firearms here, its really advised that you play in designated feilds for this kind of thing, not in backyards, parks or forests out of town which are deemed public. If you're not 18 years of age, you will have to make do with whats available, learn about the sport while you wait and save up money for gear and weapons so you can participate without issue when the time comes. "The sooner the better" doesn't apply to this kind of thing. However, Some places will let underage individuals participate in games with a guardian to get a feel of what its like, its usually advised that you fill out your age and location on this site so we can help you. "crappy spring pistol that came with it" sounds like you bought a shitty walmart softair package. That isn't airsoft, if you are over 18 look at the FAQ section about getting age verified, if you aren't then you are out of luck as we don't condone underaged airsoft and we don't care to help you upgrade your pos softair as it's not worth it.

only options would really be something from aftermath I would say. Airsoft doesn't have to be expensive, but you really need to know how to look for deals, and be patient, very very patient. I have aquired 3 AEGS, 2 vests, 1 GBB pistol, and everything else needed *mags goggles, tracer unit, ect* and i have only spent about 2000... now thats over about 8 months.
BTW all the AEGS are TM nothing crappy. How ever if your not age verified be prepared to spend more and get less as companies like walmart and canadian tire like to lure people in with *shiney* stuff displayed and stroke that good ol impulse buy part of their brain. |

If you want a good M4, you're looking at $500 at least. If you're bot 18, start saving and wait until you're 18.

I'm with Pusangani, sounds like he bought his guns from walmart or canadian tire. In your cause, get av'ed buy a new gun, then use your crappy m4 as a back up and the crappy pistol and a back up back up, or something to throw at people, it would probably be more useful doing that then shooting people with it.

Who was it that said "I can throw a pen through a chronograph faster than that"....
Anyways, if you're wondering next model personally I'm fond of the M4 and AK and their variants. Brandwise I have no clue about what you should pick but I do know that a lot of options open up for you once you get AV'ed (it costs nothing for you but it's always nice if you could spend $2.10 at a certain doughnut shop as a thankyou for the AV'er). The only thing that I really suggest using it for is plinking in the basement (or CQB) and getting a "real" gun for games.

If $200 is really your budget, get an SRC M933.
http://www.007airsoft.com/products/p...ages/10301.jpg It's $210 + tax. It's really the lowest you can go for a decent airsoft gun. This community does tend to frown upon underagers though as you can see.
