TM 5.1 gas spewing
Hey guys,
So here are the internal upgrades I did to my 5.1: Airsoft Surgeon loading nozzle Tanio Koba Twist Firefly hop up soft Nine ball dyna piston head and spring for the flow valve in the air nozzle BB's in my magazine are staggered and my hop up is set to 1/2. Sometimes when i fire, gas spews out from the nozzle and the bb just rolls right out after every shot. Ive attached a video below. Anyone know what on earth is going on? PS: Brian can feel free to jump in as well since he is the hicapa GOD Last edited by turok_t; February 4th, 2010 at 19:04.. |

Because you have the AS nozzle, first thing I'd check is the nozzle. Check if the loading tip is cracked or anywhere on the nozzle...

nope. there are no cracks or anything.. it looks just the same as the original TM one.. and it fits perfectly in the hop up chamber

I only say that because I broke my AS nozzle in 20 shots....cracked at nozzle return spring tab and the gun won't cycle properly as a result. Back to SD ones and it has been running without problem. I've heard people broke theirs at the loading "rod".
Did this just happened after you did the upgrade, or it was working ok then started doing this? |

maybe, is it installed correctly with the spring in the right place? It could almost be like the case with the SD nozzle with the SD floating valve(SD's floating valve is too big, use stock one with the SD nozzle, just as an FYI), the gun will blow back and no air is passed to the BB, so you are effectively double loading every shot and the next BB just pushes the previous one out and rolls out of the barrel...

It looks okay right? I dont see anything wrong with it.. Right now, i only have an AS loading nozzle, and the stock marui loading nozzle and stock marui floating valve and spring.. I do have the nine ball dyna spring that came with my piston head.. What do u suggest i do? |

ok so i tested my gun with the stock floating valve spring and it still doesnt work... its weird, the first bb fires out, but the ones after drop right out of the gun

Did you perhaps assemble the floating valve and spring wrong?

i dont think so, i placed the spring firmly in the circle part of the valve, dropped this assembly into the loading nozzle, inserted the valve c-clip into the nozzle and fastened that very small screw on the outside of the loading nozzle to the c-clip inside the nozzle..i then used a small pencil and depressed the floating valve inside to make sure that it bounces up and down. Here, a picture is worht 1000 words:
Im pretty sure u insert it like this.. it only goes in 1 way.. Last edited by turok_t; February 4th, 2010 at 19:54.. |

actually.. ok i have some results to report.. when i use my Airsoft surgeon loading nozzle, the bb drops out.. when i switch to my stock TM loading nozzle, then it works fine! Only the last bb stays in the mag and doesnt shoot out though.. but i think thats related to something else.. what do u guys think..

i just noticed, use the stock TM valve spring, not the enhanced one, don't think this is your problem per se, but it just seems to work better this way
