Canada Post - Tracking number disappeared??

I bought a aeg from a member ..... it was shipped, tracking number worked for 1 week. It was shipped the 10th if i remember well and it said : Accepted, Richmond ON , expected delivery 12th ......Then i track it everydayy, until Monday, 15th. The seller told me it's been a while he didnt log in ASC and he did not check the tracking number since, he told me the tracking number he gave me is not working.

So i went to try it again ........ SURPRISE. It says TRACKING NUMBER NOT FOUND??? But the seller was indeed from Ontario !!

Did this happen to anyone else?? I have been ebaying for years international and within country, this never happened to me lol.

Since when it take a week for an item from TO to MTL, I never have a package took more than 1 week except holiday or weekend. It's usually 2 to 5 days maximum. You better call CP and ask what's up now.

Sounds like they lost a package. As KND said, it shouldn't take that long between provinces.

I'd call CP, sometimes their tracking system is just acting a fool. I've had packages still in sorting facilities etc. that were delivered days before. Or tracking #s that don't work period.

I ship exclusively with Canada Post and they are mostly very reliable. Screw ups do happen and this certainly qualifies.

In the event of lost shipments, I am the one that must open the trace on the behalf of my customer. You may want to request the seller to contact CP and provide the details. The claims department will in turn get in touch with you via phone or e-mail.

Good luck!

Thank you guys ! The seller received it back .... I called CP and asked them what's up haha. The lady said it returned back to Scabourough ..... The lady was very impatient answering my questions though.
