C7 serial no. ??
I have a chance to get my hands on a blank lower gas
receiver,I want to do a C7A1 build up but I'm not sure about the proper style of serial no. for the gun. All C7's I was issued were just stamped C7 and a number, I'm doing the flattop version with solid stock,I am assuming this is a C7A1 and not the A2 according to the pictures I have seen? Any help would be appreciated |

used to be Spencer aka Sue

It's been a while since I've handled an A1, but I dont think they have it stamped on them. Should be just "C7" on that line.

Correct. The A1s just have "C7" stamped on 'em.

It was simply known as the C7 until the A2 model came out. Then the older generation got the A1 designation.
