team swat tribute
Team swat says goodbye to its longest member and most devout player. Our mascot and die hard. Chief. Although he was meerly a dog, he was unique. He absolutly loved airsoft. I only had him for 5 years but from day one he has been out at the field along side each and everyone of us. He waited all weeklong for sundays and lived for the rush of gameing. I look back and have to laugh about the fact that all the team swat members could take a lesson or page from a dog. He was there everysunday, rain, shine, snow. in the water and mud, in the +35 to the -35 weather. he was not afraid to get shot (which he did very regularly). it pains me to reminice as he was dear to me and i know he was dear to all team swat members but in the short 5 years i had him he loved his life and everything we offered him. youll be missed my friend.

it was nuts how much he loved airsoft. he waited intently for you to pull the trigger then hed go beserk. if he didnt like the pace of the game he would take off and find someone else who would get into a fire fight. he would also bark and give you away or alert you to danger depending if he like you more than the other guy. we coined a term called "chief looking" (much the same as screen looking on a console game lol) where you could triangulate an opponents position by where chief was and how he sat, the way his ears perked. he had the habit of coming and shaking off right next to you after he bogged through the pond or the canal, or rub up against you. most of all he wasnt stupid enough to pick up a grenade after it was thrown, which is rare in a dog lol. he was very awesome, i know well never find a replacment for him.

That is awesome but I am not surprised. My sister had 2 chocolate labs and they were smart, fun and had endurance that was off the hook.
You are right, you won't be able to replace him but down the road, perhaps another great lab takes to the field with ya!

I am very sorry to hear you lost your dog. Losing a pet is like losing a member of your family. I lost 2 dogs in the span of 1 year and it was devastating. Dogs are the best friend a guy can have as they dont judge and give 10 times more than they recieve. I know you can never replace him but by the sounds of it you gave him one great life.
