Seems to be more of a fashion statement.

Me too. The team I was on before practiced using pistols within buildings for CQB. worked good I think.

With that said though I went months before getting a pistol to game with (cansoft kjw glock)

I've been caught 4 times maybe on the field where my aeg either went down or ran out of ammo, the first time a charging player opened up on me full auto from less than 20 feet away as he came around my cover to see me working my issue.

Now that I have a pistol, I can at least defend myself if that situation repeats. I've also used it in close quarters coming in and out of a structure.

I use my pistol all the time and have since I started playing.

That said I didn't cripple my AEG or gear budget just to put a pistol in the toolbox.

I'm tempted to buy one of these KA M4s just to have. I'll wait till next week; I don't want to rob the poor just to feed my gun locker.

the body and gear box make it worth the buy. Dressing it up will become a part hobby all on it's own

I'm already eyeballing rails, new stock, battery holder/light and holographic sites lol

+1. I don't see myself using my pistol for a while. Maybe on some occasions as the indoor court I play at has a small building which is ultra cqb, but for now it's gonna be a target practice toy. Got too much going on as a newb playing to worry about sidearms at this point so I'll get to the pistol later in the game - no pun intended.

I don't plan to get a pistol very soon, as most pistols I saw uses green gas, and need different consumables to the AEG rifle, I expect it is going to be costy to keep both.

Maybe I will get an AEG MP5k for sidearm in the future, but I am not hurry.

A pistol is great fun, especially if you enjoy pistol shooting

Also, My first game, I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to see down my sites with full face on!! I got more kills with the side arm than the AEG. The AEG was just a waste of ammo lol

Green gas is propane. All you need is a $20 adapter and you can run them off the $4 coleman stove green propane cans. One lasts quite a long time.

Please, help us who know little of these adapters locate one and what they are called - is there a specific size or name for these adapters?

Thanks!
